Who could pass themselves off as you?

What the check does, and where it stops.

What it reads

Up to 30 other spellings of your name under the same ending, such as a doubled letter, or a letter swapped for the key beside it. It looks for the ones with mail servers, and an MX record that refuses mail does not count.

Why it matters

A second pass catches look-alikes the first did not think of.

What it shows

It is context: background only. It is never graded, so nothing it finds lowers your score.

Where its limits are

Never scored, so the same domain is not counted twice. It does not look up who holds a name, so one with mail servers may be yours or another organisation's. Around a name of three characters or fewer it is information only.
